I write screenplays and plays about fathers and sons, the families we come from, and the people who carry us. Before that, and still alongside it, I spent thirty years leading the organizations that serve them.

I've spent my career asking people to care about something bigger than themselves. For thirty years that meant leading development and running nonprofits, as a chief development officer and CEO, and today as founder of Magnolia Philanthropic Services, where I support local and national nonprofit clients.
A few years ago I started writing the stories I'd been carrying. My short screenplay The Goat comes from my father's life as a traveling salesman. My plays keep returning to parents and children, memory, and the Jewish families I grew up around.
I live in Miami. I hold an MBA, and I'm still learning my craft on the page, on stage, and on camera.
